- ice: 20 - 25 kg
- coolers: as many as possible, if you have one bring it
- refrigerators: at least one
- the 4 old monitors from the Verfügungsgebäude's basement
- flags of all the countries we have students from; if you own a flag, please lend it to us for decoration purposes
- shakers and other mixing devices; punch bowls?
- buckets and icepicks
- a person with a car to go shopping for all the stuff at Metro's this Saturday together with Guy
- volunteers for cutting lemons ;-)
-
I can bring a cashbox.
-
Right, I forgot those! I can also bring one - a very neat, green little box... ;-) Do we need more, then?
-
I found a shaker here... I'll bring it.
-
I'll bring one along as well.
And I'll start the preparations for the lightshow this weekend. I could maybe attach one Monitor to my laptop so we'll have even more stuff to show off with... 8)
-
i will bring one cooler
a cutting board and knife
and i will see what else i can get
i will know by monday
-
Guy, are you trying to write poetry? Looks like it ;) Let's take these lines, analyse them syntactically and make our decoration trees out of them! Question: TuBa-Dz-style or IntroGenLing style?
-
We shall put it all in boxes and frames! DRT forever!
:D
-
No, please, let me build some trees! If you want to, build a DRT, too. Is it okay if I write that Ede's tie is *declared* and *initialized* in a local DRS, and that's why you can't refer to it from outside? ;)
-
Do what thou wilt.
I bought the power supply for our freakshow today. Anybody has some spare PCI graphics cards? I need some more to connect as many monitors we can to the mainboard.
Have five PCI slots two of which already have one. I have to more, but they are VERY old. (100MHz PI epoch: last millenium! :o )

I don't have any, sorry. This (http://thyes.com/flash/thyes-eu2020.swf) (alas copyrighted) would be very nice for our room.
-
Hm, that's an .swf meaning I would have to install a lot of stuff on the machine to get it working (like firefox and the like)... but, yes, why not. I will see if I can get it to work.
-
for all of you who said they will bring equipment for the bar:
NOW is the time to bring it with you to the sfs
you can bring it to me or to armin , i will make a list of what you bring.
we still need some more coolers so if you have one please let us know
we also need tongs(for the ice) and small buckets to put it too.
extras:
100 plastic cups(the cheapest, just in case)
alcohol - vodka , rum ...(also just in case)
staple gun(or a stapler)
-
I will bring a cute little green cashbox, a blue cooler and in it about 25 - 30 table lanterns to be completed by the tea lights Jon promised to bring. I made them from glasses for preserved fruit, wrapped around with white *Butterbrotpapier* - three types of lanterns, round, triangular and oval in shape. Armin, be prepared! ;)
PS: Look at the weather outside! Aleks, is it snowing on your desktop, too?
-
*argh*...
-

Can't we do anything about it? So that we get it working and it's legal? Who does it belong to?
-
Ach, bestimmt niemandem, der uns verklüge.
-
Na dann... :D
-
@Kilian: Starke Verben hier??
Guy wollte sogar mit HT sprechen, ob man noch Sätze aufnehmen u. ausdrucken könne ("If you are too drunk to read this..." / "If these lines look straight to you - the bar is over there..." usw.).
-
So who can do that? Visit all lectures today and tell the people?
-
That's a nice idea, but I think we should write it in the native script of the language. Hebrew is no problem, there are enough people to ask ;)
Hey, do we have brown sugar for Caipirinha or did we forget about that?
-
aleks
i got sugar syrup for the caipirinia
and i think its fine
-
Argh, why did I go to bed so early? I didn't read this, and so I forgot to ask. I might be able to get Japanese from Anne and a bunch of funny exotic languages from Johannes in Pragmatics tomorrow... Did anybody (Guy?) see HT today about the spectrograms? If not, I'll have to ask him tomorrow...
-
To start with: In Estonian, it is "terviseks", NOT "Tervisex", though pronounced in that way.
Exotic? Well, let's see what I can get...
-
look at http://de.wiktionary.org/wiki/prost (http://de.wiktionary.org/wiki/prost)
Don't use Armin's link, it is full of errors.
Tomorrow, I'll bring some other rather exotic languages.
-
OK, got Chinese, Arabic, Indonesian, Georgian and Armenian. Most of the important ones that weren't on the list.
They are in my pragmatics folder, Laura! Remind me of them!

What a pity. Would have been my favorite...
-
!!! Aleks !!! >:( If you still had any feathers to lose...
