Eher eine ganz passende Satire darauf, dass wir unser Leben voller puristischer und geistlicher Ideale sehen wollen. Dafür, dass die Erstis im studivz sich organisiert haben, bin ich schuldig... :( Aber, nachdem mich 3-4 danach gefragt haben, ob es so was da gibt, bin ich davon ausgegangen, dass je wenigen Mühe sie sich geben müssen, desto besser, und dieser Satz ich gerate richtig lang geworden...

Hoffentlich ist es aber nicht tragisch Alesk - du wirst sie noch in den kommenden 2 Semester indoktrinieren können!  ;) ::)

Ich werde für morgen eh ein CD mit meiner Hausarbeit brennen, weil ich zum Copy Shop muss (Drucker kaputt :/), deswegen habe ich es auch vorgeschlagen. Ich könnte sie auch auf meinen iPod bringen (bin ich nicht obergeil), aber weiß nicht wann Du da bist.

Wow, a real exodus of the fourth semester people! But what am I to say, I'm leaving for a year and depending on how the situation at the SfS will look like -- either come back or leave.
We might not care SO much since we got something else planned but it's not going to be a pleasant time for the younger semesters especially. One can only hope that this depressing situation will not last longer that 1-2 semesters...

To be perfectly honest - I'm free from Thursday, 17:00 till 20:~ so I can help set the stuff up but not before.
Btw. we should tell others about this whole thing :) I'd be good if it were not only 10 of us or so...

I don't really care what kind of style we choose. I mean, most of the people will have exams or be gone so it'll be only a couple of people taking notice of any theme at all :)

I will never hail to linux! But seriously, it seems to that, in order to work on linux, you need to:
1# Know a lot about computers
2# Know a lot about programming
3# Have more fun in adding parameters than in actually working
And I need to do a lot of work (which I'm not doing but let's ignore that), whilst my computer skills are limited to: have you tried turning it off and on again? are you sure it's plugged in? are you sure it's turned on? etc. Programming? I think we had elements in school, some 3-4 years ago...

You have to watch the videos in order to get an idea about what's going on. You DO know who Conan O'Brien is?

iWould but sadly most programs run solely under windows...

You start off with a word (in this case let it stay "Kettenwort") and the next person has to create a new word, starting with the last meaningful unit of the previous one (I've done my best trying to translate this into English; you're welcome to edit my post and make it more understandable ;))

It's like the good old days in high school! We used to have lists of 250-400 words in German we had to learn in a week. But it was fun :) As soon as I'm done with this week's exams (Friday) I'll start learning them by heart. Big thanks to all of you guys! ;D You make my linguistic life seem interesting :P

Armin: this forum is not poor! It has us! Besides, if we keep it alive till the new students arrive, we can more easily force them to use it ;)

today in IB: ideationistischer Liberalismus
Try speaking the last two out loud, really fast... "Auxiliary" was a killer in my last semester's syntax class. We actually tried to find out who can speak it out fast at a random moment (out professor won). That's why I got really good at pronouncing it ;)
