There's several speech act verbs that reveal what you think about the guy.

If I see a paper that doesn't cite the most important papers in the field, it might sound interesting but it cannot possibly be interesting.

You should explain the user... er, the reader...

If I tell you: "If it's not raining, we're gonna go skiing", you have to set up this little mouse trap: "I have to watch out whether it's raining."

Somebody asked me: "You still do linguistics? Isn't that solved?"

Unification without the occurs check is like driving without a seatbelt, where you can move more freely and get onto the backseat while driving - much nicer and faster.

I don't know what we would refer to Jack the Ripper as if they had used skolem functions.

So this is intelligent, not stupid.

Auf der 42. StuTS in Kiel bat ein mittlerweile unbekannter Teilnehmer - im Spaß? - darum, Anglizismen im Sinne von wörtlichen Übersetzungen englischer Idiome deutscher Muttersprachler ins Deutsche, wie sie in unseren Kreisen ja keine Seltenheit sind, zu sammeln. Die diesjährige TaCoS hat mir da einiges zu Ohren gebracht und den Anstoß gegeben, endlich mal eine Liste anzulegen, auf dass die schönen Beispiele nicht länger dem Vergessen anheimfallen.

Das ist der Geist!

Lies das Buch "Morphology" von Francis Katamba. Zumindest als ich Morphologie bei Prof. Sternefeld genoss, war das das verwendete Lehrbuch. Die Didaktik einer solchen Veranstaltung hängt natürlich sehr von den Teilnehmern ab.  ::)  Das Buch könnte es in den Seminarordnern (erster Stock vor Annetts Büro, oder im Flur bei den anderen Büros) noch als Kopiervorlage geben.

Das Buch ist allerdings m.E. nicht so gut, dass es nicht der Diskussion im Seminar bedürfte. Voller Fehler und unverständlicher Argumentationen. So, das musste raus. :D

Um die Übersicht zu behalten: In der Fachschaftskasse waren nach der TaCoS 100,20 € in bar, diese Münzen und Scheine habe ich inzwischen privat benutzt. 50 € habe ich Desi für die Einkäufe für die Weihnachtsfeier gegeben. Auf meinem Privatkonto werden sich also 321,60 € + 100,20 € - 50,00 € = 371,80 € Fachschaftsgeld befinden, sobald die restlichen 5 x 35,96 € für die HPSG-Bücher eingegangen sind.
