  • Meet students of computational linguistics from the entire German language area!
  • Hear and give interesting talks!
  • Learn about recent developments in research and industry!

The Tagung der Computerlinguistik Studierenden ("Conference of Computational Linguistics Students", or TaCoS) is a conference that has taken place annually since 1992. Each year it is hosted at a different university, organized by the students that study there. The conference is aimed at computational linguistics and related subjects, including linguistics and computer science. The goal of TaCoS is to bring together students of these subjects in a (mostly) German-speaking environment while fostering contact between students and industry. (Adapted from TaCoS)

This year the conference will be held in picturesque Tübingen. Students of all levels will present their work from Thursday evening to Sunday afternoon, and poster session and guest lectures are also planned.

We will provide dinner Thursday evening and breakfast and refreshments between sessions on the following days. At night you can take part in Tübingen's afterhours scene, with activities ranging from parties to cultural events. The cost for attending the conference is €15, and for an additional €10 you can get overnight lodging (please bring your own sleeping bag).

To stay up-to-date, please join the tacos-announce mailing list, and join tacos-discussion for a general discussion of this year's conference (where you can give your input on what we as this year's organizers should focus on or pay special attention to).
